Meet April

Hello and Welcome!

I’m April Burgess, the proud owner of Lakeside Holistics, LLC. I’ve been a nurse for over 25 years, serving in a variety of healthcare settings including Labor & Delivery, the Emergency Department, and most recently as a Health Science instructor at Hamilton Career and Technology Center. Teaching has been such a rewarding part of my journey, but over time, I found myself missing the one-on-one connection that comes with direct patient care.

That longing led me to explore the world of holistic health—a space where science, compassion, and the body’s natural ability to heal beautifully come together. I’ve seen firsthand how the body can restore and renew itself when supported with the right care and intentional time to heal.

Through that passion, I earned my Holistic Nurse Baccalaureate Board Certification (HNB-BC) and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) certification from ILWTI, paving the way for the creation of Lakeside Holistics, LLC.

Here, my mission is simple: to help others feel their best—physically, mentally, and spiritually—through gentle, holistic care that honors the whole person.
